kudos to technology

yesterday we went to Melake attending my ex-staff wedding (reception at groom's side). met my old staff, we were friends then and still good now. but i learned few things have changed over the past years.

"Z" now has second wife, i met her yesterday. I didn't ask about his first one, or his only child.  i dun like to bother other's personal.

"A" now has new girlfriend, or just another Teman Tapi Mesra i'm not sure but they seemed very comfortable with each other. I wonder if his long term girlfriend has come to term with this one, i dunno.

"I" came with his new girlfriend (i said new because that was our first time met up), i heard some of them don't really like her, of her bossy-ness..dunno lah.

And i was pretty shocked that  "W" took his girlfriend too! i mean, how could possibly a married man just so comfortable bring along a so-called girlfriend or just Teman Tapi Mesra or Kawan Geli-Geli (some call it so) to a function with some friends. She's a stewardess, katanya. But i doubt, she's quite pendek to fit into one. (insert perasaan jeles disini) hahahha. she's cute actually.

Anyway, kudos to internet technology or facebook or friendster or myspace or any connecting-people-site provider. they have done a very good job indeed. i've seen some of my friends met their soulmates thru online chat (ICQ was so common as Cupid site back then), now has been replaced by these newer version like mentioned above. "Z" found his Cinta Baru thru online, an ustazah graduated from Egypt if i'm not mistaken. They finally united last year, with or without consent from his first wife i'm not sure. "W" met the short stewardess thru online as well, i bet. And there must be many other cases out there who found their "refreshment" thru tis technology.

I wonder, what are coming in future. Life is always unexpected. Beware of that "click".

# p.s : pengantin couple were schoolmates at highschool. they were loving birds since then (if i'm not mistaken). apart from their fulltime job, they co-own Internet Cafe business.

a monday

alhamdulillah...
normally we are surprised when we least expect it. today a customer agreed to sign up elken membership without my much effort. yesterday she texted to order a product (spirulina) but i have no ready stock. so she asked about any offer, my brief reply was "no" unless if she is a member. then she agreed at once. since i joined elken last year, i havent introduced anybody to sign up. i joined bcos i want to consume some of their products at cheaper price that's all. and i published spirulina and kington on my website bcos i've been consumed them, i found they are good stuff, that's all. earlier last week a customer ordered spirulina, she got my contact no from my website. and yesterday that lady caught me online too. alhamdulillah...it may be some little penny goes into my pocket but still i'm grateful, for doing something fruitful at least. sharing is caring.

alhamdulillah...
tho our earlier arrangement (to engage an engineer for a local factory) is somehow pending due to some internal "office political issue", we are grateful that tis is a welcoming sign of business. if everything goes smooth from the start, something wrong may hinder later. so lets face it now and learn this lesson. it's a long journey, hopefully we'll reach at the good end.

while she's here

...i'm worry if i could not satisfy her needs

...i'm worry if i dun have much time to talk to her, she might feel bored

...i'm worry if i dun cook well (not to her liking), she won't eat

...i'm worry if i'm pretty busy in the morning, i could not bathe her, she might take it personal

...i'm worry if i dun agree with her thoughts, she might think i'm against her

...i'm worry if my maid not treat her well (while i'm away), she'll pissed off

...i'm worry if i keep myself busy with my own stuff, she might feel isolated

...i'm worry if i need to make frank explanations, she'll get annoyed

...i'm worry i'm not doing a good daughter.

drink & patch

I bought the infamous slimming drink, right away yesterday. berkobar-kobar nak kurus, katanya. now we'll see how long that firing spirit wud last, heh. I pick up the goods from a nearby stockist, a fulltime housewife, she's doing online business during her spare time. that's good thing about internet, homemakers now venture into many kinds of income-generated activities rather than mesyurat tingkap dgn jiran sebelah. yesterday she gave me some sample of her products, detox patch! i've been looking for tis actually, i know i can get it online but i never made an effort to order tho i really want to give a try. she gave me Detox Patch and Slimming Patch, two each (for both feet). bagus katanya. no harm, i always like freebies. ;)

here's the result after a try last nite. detox patch.

warning : GROSS PICTURE AHEAD!

tis one from left side, rasanya. notice tht oily thingy? eeewww...

tis morning i felt great, better! after good sleep i really feel different. maybe i should consider to buy some in future.

tis one taken when i drop by at my bro's yesterday, visiting Ma. i brought over some foods tapau-ed fr her fav restaurant. she looked fine alhamdulillah...

the (winning) loser

Today is Ummar's off day. So Mommy got herself a day out for socializing treat.

Morning, after a quick stop at shop..I called up Jee (my good friend since school-age, were neighbors then till last year we both moved to other houses some distances to each other, but we used to catch up on some thursdays/fridays for breakfast, she work at home on those days). okay now back to the subject. So we had our nasik lemak, chatted, sharing kids latest updates and gossiping (a little). We had fun. And I enjoyed her tea today, she bought from Cameron High. Maybe just a little too sweet, otherwise it's just perfect.

Then later i went to Gombak, to surprise my sister kononnya. Yesterday was her birthday so i bought some munchkins and simple choc cake. It's not the price that matter but the thought, kan? haha..but instead of surprising her, my spirit of celebrating was lil bit turned down, she was fasting... anyway, they can always enjoy em later. Then I spotted a weighing scale at one corner. Got myself a try, it was..huge surprise! I am ballooning..oh mi oh my! i curse the numbers, haha. I thought i should not bother so much but actually i cant help from thinking about it. Then i decided, I MUST DO SOMETHING. NOW I MUST WATCH MY DIET REALLY CLOSER. gulp!

Later at home i told The Mister. I wanna try a product for slimming. maybe it works. maybe i can lose 10KG after 3 months. *meooww meeooww*

Then he said, "okay, if u can lose 6KG after 3 months, i will buy a good present for ur birthday!"

woot woott! booster booster..(insert banana dance here)

then i asked, tell me what's that? i dun want something i dun like..it's not worth.

it's a secret! (alaaa...)

but i'll make sure to bag that title...THE WINNING LOSER

rambling

Today i made a new friend, an inspiring mom whom i read her blog linked from DocNashwa. Thank you MamaTiaMia, for accepting my request at FB. I read her life stories dedicated to her lovely twins, very interesting. She's a good cook, albeit busy with her career she managed to cook deliiiiiccciiiooouuss meals for her beloved ones. I was drooooling at her foodie pics. I want to try out that Aglio Spaghetti recipe, looks simple but tasty i'm sure.

Today i had a brief talk with Teacher Ladyana regarding Ummar progress. He's doing very well, according to her. He listens to teachers, cooperative, improved with speech skill, but still not so friendly with other kids. He's adjusting i guess. Being The King of Our Family (his dad sometimes teased him so) he's quite snobbish. Perhaps he's adjusting to mingle around and making more contacts.

tertido kefenatan balik dari sekolah. actually tertidur dlm keta, on mommy's lap after few rounds singing "Baa Baa Black Sheep"

Tonite after dinner, I told The Mister about laundry business. He answered No. Then he continued..."ooh i see your plan. actually u want to make easy for u. U can send our clothes to ur laundry, washed and ironed. So no need to wash at home. U want to open restaurant, so we eat at our restaurant so no need to cook at home. in future...i think u want to open cleaning company..so u bring cleaner to clean our house. hehehe..save our budget and u can relax nehhh..." We both giggled..

Hahahahaaa...that's my brainy witty husband!

plan 3: a sequel

so i have mentioned earlier about plan 3 which is aptly called My White Dream.

it is about a restaurant/cafe. we always wanted to open up a place to eat, we want to serve warm home dishes, of malays and japanese foods. Last night while having our simple dinner, i was thinking about my white dream. I want the place has its soul of home. not a restaurant that people come, eat and leave. With full stomach maybe but no personal touch and warm feeling.

I want our place painted white, cosy look, and home style decorations, not too much yet just nice, and some family photos on the wall, comfy sofa at a corner, tv, and a safe corner for kids wiggling around while them parents savour our simple home dishes (if they prefer to enjoy without kids to disturb). I want the place in white theme, some flower in cute little pots, wooden dining table, some sets of four and maybe one or two nos. set of six. And a stretch of wooden bar with some wooden bar stool for singles. They sit and eat like at home.

Now about foods. There will be normal food-spread like we used to enjoy at home, inherited from our upper generations. I want to share our normal home cooked dishes, like Ikan Goreng Sambal, Ayam Goreng Kunyit, Masak Lemak Sayur Campur, Ikan Bilis Goreng with Tempe, Sambal Sardine, Ketam Masak Lemak Pedas (my arwah abah's fav), Kerang Goreng Berempah (my secret recipe, haha), Telur Dadar Sempoii, Fresh Ulam-Ulaman, Boiled Veges, Budu (a must-have), Sambal Belacan and etc etc..and The Mister wants to introduce japanese home cooked meals. The real one he said, it's not Sushi or such.

And and and..i want to name it Rumah Kami...

i wish i'd live my dream...(mmg lah saya suka berangan)

19 May 2010

it is now…

somewhat clearer..yayye!

okay this is one of some reasons, why i love blogging (sometimes).

bcos i can write down new ideas or even any silly dream that came across my mind.

so here it is, freshly baked today.

Plan 1.

Further to my "selling off the shop project", today i've made up my mind that later on when i am shop-less, i will still continue tis small business. My initial venture into tis business ie My Online Shop will back to its original operation mode : Home Based. Besides, i'll continue serve other business fellows, those main bulk orders from other shops. That should remain, so some key products shall be stored at home, at optimal quantity.

Plan 2.

Today i heard about laundry business. Sounds interesting, with minimal risk and almost worry-free operation, katanya. Then i visualize some good figure deposits into my account, haha! but..suddenly i was brought back to reality. That business may real success, but surely there are hard works and some sacrifices to be claimed. It shall start with something called CAP.IT.AL

Plan 3.

I like tis one! It is very much feels about us. Something that both Me & The Mister enjoy, we have talked about this many times before. But tonite i see it clearer. Of What and How.

...but i need to go now. ;->

to be continued...

weekly wrap-up

monday

how was it begin? ooh i see..we had to "despatch" somebody to a client factory. The Client was in urgent situation so The Mister had to make a quick (within one day notice) arrangement to send someone for the purpose of client's technical meeting with Pero2. Apparently  that "somebody" is  a Japanese who has been working here for some years, married to local indian lady (i heard) but i had a quick distasteful impression when we first met in that morning. I told The Mister, maybe that person cannot work for us. He looked not presentable and not confident. True enough, Pero2 rejected him. Anyway.

And..Junior is getting better with his school routine. Alhamdulillah

Tuesday

I think i did not do much. Maybe lazed around at home. Didnt i?

Wednesday

Normal school day. But my shop assistant called for half-day leave so I had to send Chatin to shop, and Ma tagged me along to Shah Alam. She dare not to stay alone, she said. Later after lunch at Hartini's (Ma's fav place) we went to Bukit Jelutong, my Bro's house (tho i believe it's her wifey's) *-*

Baby Camellia now tembam-er. such a sweeet lil girl. Oh i wished i had a daughter too.

Thursday

Kak Sal picked up Ma from our house. I hope she will get used to this routine. We take turns taking care of her. I think that's better. We all have our responsibilities, our duties, our jobs so taking turns is the best option, at least for time being.

Oohh..that night, my lil bro called up. His newly-wed bride is pregnant! Wooww...alhamdulillah..another addition in our family is on the way.

Friday

I visited Ma at BJ, after drop off Ummar at school. She looked not quite happy. Anyway, she'll get used to it. InshaAllah.

(plus, today i have came to a new state of resolution about my business)

Saturday

I missed a meeting. My first meeting with group of parents with special needs children. Teacher Ladyana invited me to join. That meeting at 3pm. I got to send off Chatin to shop bcos Shop Assistant works until 4.30pm on saturdays. But, i couldnt take Ummar for that meeting so I got to wait for The Mister to reach home from golfing. He was late. I had to forgo my plan. I was not happy.

Sunday

Lazing day. Morning i prepared breakfast. Bihun Goreng ala my favourite style. Then we sleep in thru the noon, kekenyangan. skipped our lunch then we had some bread over iced coffee at Pappa's KD. we both loooves the Iced Pappa Cham Coffee. Nice and bittersweet. Then we made our way to TTDI Pasar Malam (tho it's still early) and got us some fruits and foods.

A good week it was.

Here's the video we both (Me & Junior) enjoy tis week. He is now into nursery rhymes. We both singing while driving to and fro his school. At least he made some tunes with some new words. Hihi.

# p.s : did i mention tht Junior now has slowly inclining to normal white rice..rather than that boring nasi goreng for almost 2 years now..

yayye... another improvement!

15 May 2010

saturday morning

just a short one. i just want to mention that I HEART tis current layout. it's titled VOSTOK. simple and clean.

i got to catch my breakfast now. instant noodle and ayam kfc leftover.

# p.s : that new ayam kfc blackpepper r so so so nice. yumms!

fate of game

here comes the same old issue, yet tis time with a new perspective. that perhaps lead to new solution, steering new direction and resulting new definition.

first : perspective
since i am not quite happy with my current business, financially and personally...it has been affected my days and people around, esp The Mister. He knows my ups. He certainly knows my downs. He concerns pretty much. All these while, thru our deep conversation about this matter, we both tried to strengthen up each other by positive thoughts and motivation. Improve and keep trying, that's what i have been telling myself. While The Mister, being as rationale as he is, keep assuring that any choice is always mine. I chose to leave my last job, he agreed. I chose to open a shop, he supported. My next step is always be mine, either.
I've made myself believe, that shop/business is my pride. I've sacrificed A LOT, build it up from zero to now-not-nearly-hero. It was part of my joy, once. I could not picture if i ever let it go.
But today, new perspective has struck my mind. I am not the first person who failed. I may become the next success story. Of my own.

second : solution
so i was thinking to sell off my shop to any prospect buyer with best offer. i pray that is the best for me and my family. after consulted The Mister, he came up with that normal answer. The choice is always mine. Just make sure tht is what i really want. And i must have sense of my next direction.

third : direction
Being a fulltime homemaker, spending more time with Junior, while managing our new business. That sounds easy but the real picture normally takes an extra toll.

last : definition
it does not matter What title shall i bag. but it is about How do we tolerate with needs and How do we make a turning point, at some points of time. If those equal (some) happiness, why not?

(err..tis is not me, if u may wonder) ;~>

non-profit force

i just created a group at FB. i named it "Home of Children with Special Needs (Malaysia)". Described as "Sharing some experiences, Learning some new tips, Exploring some new possibilities. A HOME for families with Special Needs Children. Dedicated by Special Parents to Special Parents." It has been long long time before, i wanted to meet other parents who has similar experience raising up these special gift. I understand it's not easy to speak it about, because many people out there they just couldn't figure it our how hard it takes but i am sure it's just not their fault, either. Ones will never understand till they experience themselves.

So i hope this group will gather many parents out there who willing to share their stories and to learn more about these special kids. They are just a lil different, bcos they are special.

mother’s day, it was

i wanted to blog about our very own mother's day tis year but i was just not in the right mood to write. so i'll copy & paste here my message replied to a friend via FB.

she wrote :

"momoko mati sebab ape? then sakura pulak kenapa cer cite skit.. ambo dop pehe kecek kelate.."

i replied :

"Hahaha. Kesahnya..Momoko punya status: MIA. Dia hilang membawa diri, mungkin masalah rumahtangga, lari ikut jantan Lombok kot. Kikiki..So memandangkan ex-partner dia aka Shyo tu dh solo since she left, nmpk cam hidup x bermakna jer, berlagu tema "separuh jiwa gue pergi" camtu, so kitorg dgn morah hati carik kan pengganti, baruuu bwk balik pagi td. Tp saiz nya lain ler sikit, tis Sakura kecik lg (same size Momoko & Shyo when we bought them last time, but hasil pemakanan yg mencukupi now dh beso triple size dh). Shyo nmpk happy la ada "bini baru" acewwwaah dah la muda plk tu! Masalahnya, si tuan punya iaitu anak jantanku itu agak rough cara layanannya. *cough cough* right before our eyes dia picit2 si Sakura *sob sob*.. I marah la jgk tp still under control la kan until we left him and took our lunch, he was playing "well" with Sakura, till...my Mr finished his lunch earlier (biasa la kan, volume I byk sikit) dia tgk Sakura dh barely breathing. Dh nazak. I terkejut sgt2 (tak sempat abiskan nasi dipinggan). Terus rasa guilty sgt2...I stayed with her till her last breath. I tiup2 her lifeless body, so much hoping she back to her own self. I waited, but she's gone. I sedih sgt. I geram sgt. I rasa guilty sgt2. Then I asked my maid gali lubang. We buried her body at the garden. Before tht I nk ambik gambar dia, her remains I mean tp Mr tak bagi. He was sad too. Guilty jgk. But my Jr langsung tak nmpk bersalah. I doubt if he understand. I rs I'm not a good mother. Emo la jgk kejap. Begitu lah kesah keluarga saya di hari sambutan Hari Ibu tahun ini."

There was our Mom's Day tis year. Sweet and Sour.

she’s my Ma

so now i want to write about my mother.

we call her Ma. but me & my cheeky sister, usually we have some good ideas to tease her so for time being, sometimes we call her MSY (mok su yah). btw, her full name is Mek Yas bt Awang Hamat. our relatives and neighbors back in our (first) kampong used to call her so, mok su yah.

MSY is good person, i think. she used to have some bunch of friends, her fav ones. when i was younger (note : now i am young), i remember we used to host some gatherings of her friends, unofficially. they used to lepak-lepak for main kutu session, or jual pinggan mangkuk, or beli kain ela, or just simply talks. mengumpat maybe. hehe

when i was smaller (note: now i am pretty small, ;P) i remember that i was not so closed to her. i found it was quite difficult to talk to her. she was a strict mother, i think. i wont go to her if i need to ask about any teenager's curious. i did not ask her for any want-to-buy request. i tried so much not to tell her my exam result if i dun placed myself among the best 3 in the class. i found that all i need to do is to please her, with all the good news and good things. otherwise, i better stay away from her.

so much unlike my father. (reminds me to write about him next time)

so there was my mother. soon when i attended boarding school, our relationship remain with that same term. she is the mother, i'm one of her daughters.

1995, the beloved father left us. we were not ready, none of us. but Allah is the Best Planner. i was about 17 years old, just before SPM result was released. my life somehow changed since then. my father no more around. i dun have that Abah to talk to. i even lost my direction, what shud i do next? which university to choose? what course shud i take? what do i wanted to be? i had many doubts than answers. then i tried to talk to my mother. the way i used to talk to my father. it wasn't so natural but later we made it anyway, half good i could say.

during the university years, i learned about my mother better. then we were closer, at least better than before. yet still i found it was not so natural somehow. she is the mother that i need to please her, most of the time.

we had many disagreements thru the years. some about my love life, some about my way of life. when i break the news about my then husband-to-be, it was disaster. our relationship turn sour, as much as my heartache. But Allah knows Best. magically me & husband united with her blessing (tho i could see she was not happy, but at least she attended the majlis).

then my new chapter began...now i have family of my own. now she loves my son very much more than she loves me. now she volunteers to stay with us at our house. now she talks to my husband tho only few words they both could understand. and last month she stayed with us for about a month, i had the chance to take care of her after she was discharged from hospital. now i still love her. and she still the mother who i need to please her, all the time.

sheer of rainbow

or maybe i am hoping so much. i pray for the good-ness, the happiness, the recoveries reach upon us.

anyway. at least today i can feel somewhat it is around the corner. hopefully.

tis morning we had a morning appointment with our potential client. the first one since we "establish" that new company, officially. discussion went well, in our casual sunday manner. he seems very desperate for technical support to skill up his workers and to gain confidence from client. so here we are bridging the gap, possibly.

next, my new task will begin. i got to prepare those fresh documents; quotations and contracts. and many other related docs and procedures coming up. i have to learn about new terms too. i know nothing about car parts manufacturing.

after all what can i say? i am happy to be an "engineer" again. and this time i'll run the show.
